Books & stories that moved us
This May, we’re trying something a little different with Mix It Up May — a month where we add a little variety, creativity, and fresh energy to our Sunday gatherings while still staying grounded in who we are. Each week, we’ll play with some familiar West Hill elements in small ways, giving us a chance to experience them with fresh eyes.
This Sunday, we’ll begin with a focus on books and stories that have moved us — the words, characters, memories, and moments that have shaped how we see ourselves, one another, and the world. As always, we’ll remain rooted in our core values: Grounded in Life, Guided by Love, and Growing in Wisdom — but we’ll explore them through the power of story.

We all Have a Story by Michelle Harverson
We all have a story
a tale to be told
of the joys we've experienced
and the hardships we've known.
Sometimes we wear them
on our sleeves for all to see
but often they are hidden
as deep as they can be.
So, let us be kind
for we never truly know
the struggles and the battles
that others undergo.
May empathy and compassion
be the guiding lights we share
and may we always remember
that each story deserves care.
For in our human journey
we all need love and grace
so, let us be kind to one another
and create a better place.
