WHEN OLD MAPS NO LONGER WORK

Each of us has a series of maps—you might also call them stories or identities—that inform our life’s adventure. They form a type of scaffolding that holds up the work-in-progress that is our existence.

Most of the time, those maps serve us well. Other times, they send us on wild detours and into ditches. We’re going to explore how we can tell which is which (it’s not always obvious!) and how to navigate the potential existential crisis when our old maps no longer serve us.

Meet our guest speaker: Beth Buelow

For the past 54 years, Beth has been focused on one thing: being the Bethiest Beth she can be.

That’s resulted in what might look like a grab bag of professional and volunteer roles, including classical musician, arts administrator, nonprofit leader, author, coach, podcaster, educator, mediator, speaker, and photographer.

She’s currently on Beth 5.0, based in Muskegon, Michigan, and trying to bring beauty to the world through her abstract nature and architecture photography. Beth is active with C3: West Michigan’s Spiritual Community as one of three Core Teachers.

Her life co-pilots are her husband, Andy; dog, Gracie; and cat, Molly.
