THE BEGINNING OF A NEW ADVENTURE FOR WEST HILL

Last November, we began a journey with Listenology to discern the future of West Hill.After several congregational meetings, widespread discussion and input, Joe Manafo, through his firm, Listenology, had prepared a detailed report. This document was shared with the Planning Guidance team and the Board. This presentation and subsequent revisions, has produced an Action Plan. The plan has been broken down into various components and assigned to a priority or sequencing that extends over 2 years. Our progress to this point is a remarkable first step and the linking of the steps forms a credible plan that should flourish and progress. This is happy moment and worthy of some celebration and a look to the adventures that lie ahead.

It has been established that the first 2 items to address are 1. The Sunday Gathering and the preparation, leadership, technology and distribution, to be begun in June of this year. The second step will be our Identity – declaring who we are and how we are inclusive in our approach. The team addressing this task will prepare for a start in September. Oversight will be provided by the Planning Guidance Team, chaired by Jean Skillman and will report to the Board and congregation. Rev Cindy will be the Coordinator of the action plan. This is the beginning of a new adventure for us.
