Truth and Reconciliation Day
A CALL TO ACTION
Each year on September 30th, we gather our hearts and minds, to honour Orange Shirt Day - a day of remembrance, reflection, and renewed commitment to the journey of Truth and Reconciliation in Canada. It is a time to acknowledge the devastating legacy of the residential school system and the resilience of Indigenous survivors, families, and communities.
As people who value justice and compassion, we are called not only to remember but to learn, unlearn, and act. Truth and Reconciliation is not a moment; it is a movement—one that begins with listening deeply and engaging meaningfully.
To support our community in this ongoing journey, we have gathered a collection of powerful videos and books that illuminate the lived experiences, histories, and hopes of Indigenous Peoples in Canada. These resources are not just educational—they are invitations to transformation. Whether you're just beginning this learning or continuing a long walk of solidarity, we encourage you to explore these materials with open hearts and minds.
Together, let us move forward in humility, truth, and reconciliation.
