Love & Be Loved: Where
This Sunday, we continue our Love & Be Loved series by exploring the question, “Where can I love and be loved?”
The places we inhabit shape us. Some environments help us become more present, grounded, and loving. Others can quietly pull us away from the person we want to be. This week, we’ll reflect on the spaces that nourish love and the places where love can take deeper root.
We hope you’ll join us!

The question Where can I love and be loved reminds us that love is shaped by our surroundings. Consider the loving environments you have been part of, as well as those that have not been as nourishing. The environments we choose greatly influence our well-being.
Like a seed, love needs good soil. It grows best in surroundings that nourish it.
For me, this question, “Where can I love and be loved?”, has been a game-changer. Even in the process of writing this perspective, where I choose to be matters. When I find a place that gives me life, whether that is a library, a coffee shop, or a place outdoors that helps me feel more alive, something shifts. My attention sharpens. I feel more present, more grounded, and more connected to the task at hand. The environment supports the kind of focus and care I am trying to practice. And maybe that is part of the point: even this small act of trying to write something loving is shaped by my environment.
Some places make it easier to live as the loving person we want to be, while other environments can quietly pull us away from that person. The question Where can I love and be loved helps us notice which spaces nourish us and which ones drain us, so that we can choose environments that support our quest to live a loving life.
