Anne Walker Was a Real Pleasure! Here's More!

On January 30th, West Hill had the pleasure of hosting An Evening With Anne Walker. The hall was filled as family, friends and the community as folks came out to support gretta and share in an intimate evening filled with warmth and music. We'd like to share more ways to connect with Anne and her music.

CD Release Concert-Saturday, March 5, 2016

Anne Walker, "I hope you can join me for the official release of my new CD Down the Horseshoe Valley Road at the Acoustic Harvest Folk Club.  I'll be joined by two amazing musicians, Paul Mills (guitars) and Shane Cook (fiddle).  My daughters, Erica and Katie, have promised to come home to back me up with their lovely voices. The concert will have a multi-media element, with images and vintage photos to complement the songs.

This collection is close to my heart—featuring songs I have written about the rural community in which I was raised. Coulson, Ontario is a small hamlet located in the gently rolling hills of central Ontario. Although I have been based in Toronto for many years, I was raised on our small family farm there and have familial roots that run five generations deep in the area. These songs tell the stories of rural life, often from a very personal perspective.  The CD cover features  a painting of our family farmhouse by artist Ray McNeice."

Here you can listen to Anne's interview with Jan Hall of Folk Roots Radio as they talk about the songs, the CD and the up-coming concert.

You can pre-order your concert tickets at the Acoustic Harvest website
