Rick Miller and Plan International's "Because I am a Girl" Project

Plan International’s Because I am a Girl initiative is a social movement to unleash the power of girls and women to claim a brighter future for girls in the developing world. Along with Sean Lynch and illustrator Crystal Lancaster, I created "All About Eve", a multimedia presentation that girls (or anyone) can present to their school or community to raise awareness about girls’ rights. Westhill's youth group - all young women - helped me develop it as a multi-person piece, and were the first girls to ever present it! I am not a girl, of course, but I have two daughters and truly believe that educating girls is the best gift we can give to the world in order to break cycles of overpopulation, poverty and disease.
