An interesting article about a church that is trying to be more inclusive.

Peter Kirkwood interviewed me while at the Common Dreams II conference and has posted his article and video here on Eureka Street, a Catholic On-line news forum.  Enjoy!

Dick Gross writes an article on the Common Dreams, Kind of Christianity an atheist could believe in!, conference and gets it! (Well, most of it -- I think he thinks I believe in all the different things "god" means which, of course, would be somewhat crazy making!) And he loved Scott's music which, as we all know, holds our most inspirational moments.

It has been SOOOO long since I've posted anything about our trip. Australia falls far behind Canada when it comes to internet accessibility and, just before I left, I heard Canada's rating in that area was abysmal.  Add that to our incredibly busy schedule and all I can do is beg forgiveness.

It has been wonderful so far.  We have three days off now and are listening to the surf on the Gold Coast before heading to Brisbane on Friday.  The post I am linking here is a week old. Here's another one that is a day or two later, written on the flight from Adelaide to Canberra. I'll try to update you during the next couple of days. In the meantime, know that I'm thinking of you often and have much to share when I get home.

best,

gretta

Mark your calender and plan to join us in the Lounge on Friday December 4, 2009 to watch the last movie in our Fall Film Fest (or WHIFF - West Hill International Film Festival).

The movie is: The Life of Brian - by Monty Python. Seen it? Come and have a laugh again.

Never have seen it - well, here's a bit of the plot:

Brian is born on the original Christmas, in the stable next door. He spends his life being mistaken for a messiah. ... Sound familiar?

Let's get ready for the Season!

Again that's Friday December 4, 2009 at 7:30 p.m. in the Lounge. Refreshments and Popcorn are supplied - as is good conversation and fellowship! See you there!

Gretta Vosper on The Agenda

Posted by: Dana Wilson-Li in mediagretta on

Watch for Gretta on TVO's The Agenda with Steve Paikin this Tuesday, November 17th at 8:00 pm.  The topic will be Debate:  The Religions:  Old, New, Borrowed and Blue where the panelists will be exploring the evolution of religion.

This will be Gretta's second appearance on The Agenda, and if it's anything like the first, the debate will prove to be engaging, insightful, and very lively.

With thanks to Scott Campbell for the link.

Working with director Robert Lepage, a man who is currently wading opera singers through waist deep water to get his interpretation of Stravinsky "onto" the stage at the Canadian Opera Company, Rick Miller was one of the artistic minds that helped create this nine-hour play focusing on the incredible diversity of the human voice.

The article below was published just before Lipsynch began its New York run which ended yesterday.
