While in Brisbane, I was honoured to give the homily and preside at the Eucharist at St. Mary's in Exile with rebel priest, Peter Kennedy. Here, Peter Kirkwood of Eureka Street, posts his interview with Kennedy and a reflection on his first year outside the embrace of the Catholic church.
Peter Kirkwood interviewed me while at the Common Dreams II conference and has posted his article and video here on Eureka Street, a Catholic On-line news forum. Enjoy!

There was a special screening on March 22/09 of the documentary "Blue Gold World Water Wars" at U of T to celebrate World Water Day. An article appeared in The Toronto Star - "Film examines growing conflict over water". Hopefully, this film will appear soon in local theatres and be available to a much larger audience.
This film (around for a while now) is a Canadian documentary which takes a look at the nature, evolution, impact, and possible future of the modern corporation. It may sound a little dry, but you'll be totally engrossed. No sleeping here! When it's pointed out that a corporation is, under the law, a legal person who may or may not have a moral conscience in the way they run their business, you'll sit up and take notice. ~ Check it out. At Blockbusters for rental. Or public library for FREE!
